Cancellation & Refund Policy
Smart Buy is a business-to-business service. Stop a monthly plan from renewing at any time through Smart Buy → Plans → Manage billing.
1. Monthly subscriptions
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid monthly period.
- The plan and remaining included checks continue until that period ends.
- No later renewal is taken after cancellation is scheduled.
- Cars, Motorcycles and HGV / commercial subscriptions are separate and cancelled separately.
- A scheduled cancellation may be reversed before period end where Stripe displays that option.
2. Checks
Unused included checks expire at the end of their billing period, do not roll over and have no cash value. Extra checks expire 12 months after purchase, remain available until expiry after cancellation, and apply only to their purchased vehicle category. Used or expired checks have no cash value.
3. Refunds
Cancellation does not normally produce a partial-month refund because access continues to period end. We will investigate and, where appropriate, refund a duplicate or incorrect charge, a payment taken after effective cancellation, or paid service not provided. We may refund where required by law or agreed as goodwill.
A successful check is not refundable because you do not buy the vehicle, disagree with a band, obtain another valuation or do not achieve expected resale value or profit. An identified failed provider lookup does not consume a check.
4. Help and account closure
Email admin@brakerbase.co.uk with the business, account email, charge date and reason; never email full card details. Cancelling stops renewal but does not delete the account. Account-closure or eligible deletion requests may use the same address; legally required, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute records may be retained.
